Demetri was born in Greece and grew up in New Orleans, where music took ahold of him by force in high school. He began his professional career performing on bass, and teaching music. Producing and mixing music became the focus thereafter. After graduating Webster University with a BM in Music and Music Technology in 2004, he went on to tour internationally with 2 time grammy winning band: Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience. Hurricane Katrina led him to Los Angeles in 2006 where he began a long and distinguished career in TV, Film, Video Games, and VR. Achievements include 2 MPSE golden reel award nominations for feature film: The Ice Road, and Steven Spielbergs Netflix series: Five Came Back. Mixing the grand prize winning feature film at Sundance in 2019: Clemency, and acclaimed Feature Films: Moonfall, Pig, The Art of Self Defense, hit TV series: Twisted Metal, Sons of Anarchy.
Immersive mixing being his longtime focus during his 15 year tenure in linear media, the next frontier was VR audio design. Having a deep knowledge in creating all types of sound elements in linear post led to a quick transition to working on cutting edge VR experiences for Dreamscape learn and Arizona State Universities Meteor and SPLIT Studios.
