Demetri was born in Greece and grew up in New Orleans, where music took ahold of him by force at age 14. He began his professional career performing live, and teaching music by the age of 18. Attending Webster University took him to St. Louis where he began working as an audio engineer in music studios and concert venues in addition to touring. After graduating with a BM in Music and Music Technology in 2004, he went on to tour internationally with 2 time grammy winning band: Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience. Hurricane Katrina led him to Los Angeles in 2006 where he began a long and distinguished career in TV, Film, Video Games, and VR. Achievements include 2 MPSE golden reel award nominations for feature film: The Ice Road, and Steven Spielbergs Netflix series: Five Came Back. Mixing the grand prize winning feature film at Sundance in 2019: Clemency, and acclaimed Feature Films: Moonfall, Pig, The Art of Self Defense, lastly hit TV series: Twisted Metal, Sons of Anarchy.
